Advertising Players that work with SignSwift
There are four kinds of advertising player that you can use with SignSwift.
1. Digital Photo Frames
You can use any digital photo frame that can play JPG files. Pick one that starts automatically when power is applied so your display comes back after a power outage. The smallest 7" screens tend not to be very bright and have narrow viewing angles. We recommend you get one with at least an 8" screen and a resolution of at least 800x600. Digital photo frames have the advantage of being compact, self-contained, and easy to operate. They are limited however in size, and many lack the brightness and viewing angle necessary to create a great looking digital sign.
2. The SignSwift HD1080 Player
The SignSwift HD1080 High-definition Digital Signage Player provides a high-quality 1080p high-definition output and can drive screens with component or VGA connections. To purchase please visit our store on eBay.
3. Any other solid-state advertising player
SignSwift works with any advertising player capable of displaying JPG images in order. Some devices that work particularly well with SignSwift and provide
very high quality video output include
the Western Digital WD TV HD Media Player and
the Western Digital, WD TV Mini Media Player
.
4. Any recent Windows PC
SignSwift includes software that turns any PC into a digital signage player. It can even use multiple monitor capabilities to drive a second monitor. When you use the included software you also get the benefit of instant updates over the network so if you change your messages from home they appear within minutes on your in-store display. The disadvantage of a PC-powered display is that like all Windows-powered devices you still have to do updates and occasional reboots to keep your display running smoothly and when the power fails you may need to login again before your display resumes playback.
